Mommy & Me Quick Takes

On May 9, 2012, in In Studio, by admin

At the end of the month, Friday May 25 and Saturday May 26, is one of the most popular Quick Takes.   As the name says, it allows one parent to be in the photo, the only Quick Take that allows adults:)

This is also a great idea for a gift certificate for Mother’s Day!

35 Years and Counting

On March 19, 2012, in In Studio, by admin

As you may have seen in our ads, Roy and I are changing things up a bit at the Studio.    After 35 years we have come to a “compromise”.     Roy was nowhere near ready to retire so we have gone to Studio Hours By Appointment.     For you, our customers, this means that appointments will now be made according to YOUR schedule.     For us it means a little more downtime.   We live so close to the Studio we can be there in 5 minutes.

Portraits that define you.    Your diary is the only thing more personal than your portrait.

All About You

Every senior session starts with learning about you.    Roy’s portraits are like nowhere else.   Be yourself, show your best self.

“The nice part about being a pessimist is that you are constantly being either proven right or pleasantly surprised.”

We’re back from our annual February closure.    We never left Soldotna but still enjoyed our time off!    Over the years we’ve found that “staycations” are our favorite.    Not the we wouldn’t have liked to be somewhere warm for awhile but that will have to wait.    I’m not a good flyer anyway.

We will be updated our Quick Take schedule in the next couple days.   We will also be adding new photos to our galleries so check back soon.

February

On January 30, 2011, in In Studio, by admin

Well, it’s February again.   For 15 years we have closed for the month of February.   We fix up stuff in the Studio, sleep late, plan for the upcoming year, sleep late, play with the dogs…..you get the picture.

We aren’t leaving town and will still answer phone messages and emails.   But we still have lots to do, cleaning files and catching up on lots of paperwork.   Yuck.   But it has to be done.     At least during February we can look at each other and say, “Hey, lets finish this later and go have lunch!”

One of my goals is to get back to posting on this blog more often.    I’ll be posting lots more photos too.

See you March 1st!

Fall Harvest

Our end of October Fall Harvest Quick Takes were great!    We had an awesome turnout, some in costume and some not.

Now is the time to schedule for our December 10 & 11 Winter Wonder Quick Takes.

Dad and son

On November 3, 2010, in Quotes, by admin

A dad was tired of his son’s laziness and said to him, “Son, when Abraham Lincoln was your age, he walked 10 miles to school and went to work afterward.”

His son replied, “Dad, when Abraham Lincoln was your age, he was President of the United States.”
